OLU DENIZ

Olu Deniz, one of the most beautiful places in Turkey. A calm turquoise blue lagoon, formed by a curve white strip of sand that reaches far out to sea, nearly touching the other side. CALIS BEACH

If your idea of a holiday is lazing in the sun on a beach or by the pool, than Calis Beach is for you. The shingle beach stretches for 4 km with hotels, bars and restaurants on the beach front road which runs along it. The atmosphere is very informal and relaxed here, making it ideal for sun-worshippers and family holidays. If you want to spend some livelier hours, than take a dolmus ride to nearby Fethiye, with its colourful harbour, shops, and nightlife.

FETHIYE TURKEY

Fethiye is located on the Lycian and Carian border and was called Telmessos in ancient times. The city was very prominent and a centre of prophecy, pledged to Apollon. The city life was rich and highly cultured during the Hellenistic and Roman periods which is evident from the monuments that exist today. Today the majority of ancient ruins in Telmessos are rock-tombs, Lycian-type sarcophagi, the fortress and the Roman Theatre. The peninsula lying between Fethiye and Antalya was known as Lycia in the ancient times.
